The literal translation of Namaste, the salutation usually spoken at the end of class, means, “the spirit in me bows to the spirit in you.” At Nandi, we believe we are connected to everyone else, both inside and outside the studio.
Community is vital to us. Practicing together yields many opportunities for inspiration and support, as we each journey on our own path. We encourage our students and staff to work together to make our community even better.
We chose to establish our studio in downtown San Mateo, with easy access to public transportation and nearby shops and services, so we can truly be part of this city’s community.
Playgroups Unlimited, a spacious childcare facility located right across the street, is available for our students who have little ones. For more information or to reserve a spot for your child, please call (650) 401-8368 or visit www.playgroupsunlimited.com.
We also plan to take our yoga beyond our physical walls and give back to the community by supporting numerous local non-profits and inspiring schoolteachers to bring yoga into their classrooms. If you are a Nandi student or a community member who wants to be involved, please send us an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
